Global Wellness Day takes place on June 10, 2023. The global wellness day activities at SAii Resorts will include this year’s theme of #DanceMagenta. It’s a bright and vibrant dance program designed for all ages and ability levels.
What is Global Wellness Day?
First staged in 2012, Global Wellness Day is a worldwide initiative. It is dedicated to promoting the benefits of physical, mental and spiritual health. It takes place on June 10th, 2023.
Celebrated globally in thousands of locations and reaching over half a billion people, this is an empowering occasion that can inspire everyone to improve their well-being. I love this!
This June, three of SAii Resorts’ beachfront lifestyle retreats, SAii Phi Phi Island Village, SAii Laguna Phuket, and SAii Koh Samui Choengmon, are planning a wide range of special sessions to let all visitors – including solo travellers, couples, friends and families – find their personal path to fitness and mindfulness.

Global Wellness Day Activities Theme
The theme of this year’s Global Wellness Day is #DanceMagenta. This is a series of activities centred around the freedom and uplifting spirit of dance. The aim is to help people come together and discover the joy of dancing in three easy steps
- Step 1 – “Dance with your Body” as a form of physical exercise
- Step 2 – “Dance with your Mind” as a means of meditation
- Step 3 – “Dance with Life” incorporating dancing into all aspects of your daily routine
SAii Phi Phi Island Village
At SAii Phi Phi Island Village, the Thai-inspired retreat nestled in 70 acres of tropical gardens with an 800-metre stretch of private beachfront, guests can look forward to a full day of immersive activities on June 10th.
The day starts with an upbeat #DanceMagenta-inspired “Dance with your Body” aerobic session at the Lazy Pool Lawn at sunrise. This is followed by a nutritious breakfast overlooking the sea at Api Restaurant. Wellness seekers can then enjoy a “Thai Massage Workshop” at the spa.
In the afternoon, the resort’s culinary experts will reveal the art of making healthy wellness shots, before everybody comes together to enhance their spiritual and educational well-being with a “Beach & Mangrove Cleaning” exercise, led by the resident biologists at the dedicated Marine Discovery Centre.

SAii Laguna Phuket
SAii Laguna Phuket is perfectly positioned between Bangtao Bay and sparkling lagoons on Phuket’s sunset coast. They invite all ages to embark on an action-packed Global Wellness Day on 10th June.
Following “Gentle Yoga Dance” and “Body Firming” classes in the morning, guests can take part in a “Dance with your Body” aqua aerobics class, in the spirit of the #DanceMagenta theme.
After lunch, experience-seeking adults can choose from culturally inspiring “Thai Origami” or an energizing “TR-X Workout.” The afternoon concludes with the “Beach Tennis Challenge.” I’m not sure what Thai Origami is, but I’m definitely intrigued!
If you’re travelling with kids, they have activities for them as well. Little VIPs will also be able to join Global Wellness Day with a fun-filled day of activities at Mafeung & Mafai’s Junior Beach Club & Camp. From kids’ yoga and mini Olympics to headband crafting, cookie making and more!
SAii Laguna Phuket will even be inspiring its own team members to embrace the spirit of wellness with special healthy meals and a local community beach cleaning exercise. What an amazing way to give back to the community.

SAii Koh Samui Choengmon
SAii Koh Samui Choengmon, the elegant all-pool villa retreat on Samui’s pristine northeast shore, has created an eclectic activity schedule that guests can enjoy in this eco-sensitive sanctuary.
Surrounded by lush foliage and swaying palms, with dramatic granite headlands and turquoise seas, visitors can savour a healthy breakfast at Miss Olive Oyl.
The chef will also demonstrate how to make Healthy Shots. Afterwards, guests are invited to take part in yoga and “Dance with your Thoughts” sessions at Lèn Spa Lawn to enhance mindfulness. The day’s activities end with water sports at the beach. Sounds perfect to me 😊
