I’m thrilled to say that plyometrics are here for the long-haul

I’ve just signed up to do an Instructor Trainer course to be able to teach a RIPPED Workout – which stands for Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics, Endurance, and Diet. Terry and Tina Shorter. are the creators of this new workout My training will be taught by the man himself. Once I am RIPPED certified, I’ll be able to teach these RIPPED workout classes myself.

I’ve heard great things about this program. Plus, it just so happens that it will conveniently provide me with the 7 Continuing Education Credits I need for my BCRPA fitness instructor re-certification just before it expires.

I really have to stop leaving it till the last minute every time, lol! Getting my RIPPED certification will keep my fitness instructor certification current. It also enables me to teach a new class.

RIPPED workout exercises use weights as well as just your bodyweight

R.I.P.P.E.D. has my interest peaked for several different reasons, but here are a few of the key ones.

RIPPED workout claims

  1. It claims to be plateau-proof – interesting
  2. Its participants can burn up to 1000 calories in under an hour – really?
  3. It is for all levels of fitness – so it can be modified
  4. It combines both fitness and nutrition – this is key to any successful program

The pictures I see online resemble the weekend I spent with fitness Olympia champion Jen Hendershot at one of her Phat Camps. If it’s anything like that, I’m definitely in! Any exercise that can be fun and energizing has my attention. If I can teach a R.I.P.P.E.D. workout that keeps my students both fit and happy, that’s a win!

On another note, this affirms my earlier prediction that the fitness trend plyometrics isn’t just a fitness trend. Plyometrics are here to stay. They play a key role in a RIPPED workout.

I’ll be sure to post a review after my training on March 10th. Now I better up my cardio for the next two weeks so I don’t die at this training session!

As promised, here is my review of the RIPPED Instructor training.
