Enjoy epic rooftop views in New York while working up a sweat

New York City is known for its iconic skyline, and what better way to experience it than from a rooftop? Taking in the breathtaking views of the city from above is a memorable experience. Now you can check out some of the best rooftop views in New York City while working out.

As a former fitness instructor, you guys know that I am all about promoting balanced vacations that are both fun and fulfilling. I think these places that offer yoga with views have nailed it! Working out can be fun, especially when combined with epic rooftop views of iconic New York City.

While I’m not a big fan of hotel gyms, when I can do a yoga class on a rooftop with incredible views, that’s a whole different scenario. I don’t love hotel gyms because I hate feeling stuck inside when I’m travelling in a different city. However, these gym spaces are outside so it’s a win-win!

Equinox Hudson Yards

As someone who trains at Equinox in Vancouver, I wish I could train at this location! The Equinox at Hudson Yards is a 60,000-square-foot luxury gym that spans two floors. My fave part? It includes a 15,000-square-foot pool and sundeck.

The Roof Deck overlooks the Vessel at Hudson Yards. Imagine swimming laps with these incredible views?! Yes, please! The caveat is that not just anyone can pop over to Equinox for a workout. You must have a membership, or know someone who does. Members can bring a small number of guests per year.

Don’t have an in at Equinox? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered with The Edge at Hudson Yards. With almost the same rooftop views in New York, anyone can join a workout here.

The Edge at Hudson Yards is the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere, offering unparalleled views of the city from 1,100 feet above ground. Not only can you take in the stunning skyline, but you can also experience the thrill of standing on a glass floor, giving you a unique perspective of the city below.

And the best part? You can take part in a yoga or fitness class on the deck with their Sky-High Yoga. These classes are done in partnership with Equinox. Each ticket includes your admission to The Edge as well as a 45-minute yoga class.

The Edge is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience New York City’s skyline in a truly unforgettable way. They also have an outdoor pool terrace that features views of the Hudson River and the city skyline. It’s incredible!
