I’ve had a pretty crazy, busy summer so I apologize (once again) for the delay in posting! My life is always crazy busy, but sometimes it’s overwhelming and lately has been one of those times. Even still, my favourite time of year is definitely summer! And there is so much summer fun to be had in BC.

Living in BC, I am so blessed to have an innumerable amount of fun and exciting things to do outside, especially once the weather cooperates. I am a huge outdoor enthusiast, especially when it comes to the water. In fact, I worked as a Lifeguard for the better part of a decade!

I love anything to do with the water. I swear I was a mermaid in a past life, lol! You will find me swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving and surfing, and yes you can surf in BC. That’s me in the feature image surfing in Tofino.

This summer I’ve taken several local trips as opposed to a big overseas one. Salt Spring Island is a constant go-to. I wrote a post all about how to spend an ideal weekend on Salt Spring Island. It’s the largest of the southern gulf islands. I also went to Tofino on Vancouver Island for the first time.

Not one to slack off even during my holidays, as I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, I spend a fair bit of our time in the outdoors either hiking or, in the case of Tofino, in the ocean catching waves.

Sometimes my definition of ‘relaxation’ isn’t the same as others, lol! To me, swimming while the sun sets around me is unbelievably relaxing. For me, summer fun in BC means being outdoors.

As you can see I’m often sporting my Public Myth gear. My teaser sports bra is my favourite for hiking. They really combined function and fashion with this one! In fact, I recently became a Brand Enthusiast for Public Myth.

Whenever possible, I do my best to support local Vancouver companies. Click the link for 6 ways to support local companies. Some of these ideas are FREE!

How about you? What do you like to do for fun in the summer?
