It’s a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountains. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing all the lodge offers and here is my honest review.
It boasts stunning natural surroundings, indulgent spa treatments and exquisite dining options. I have to say, I was blown away by the level of attention to detail and care that the staff put into every aspect of the guest experience.

From the moment you arrive at Rush Creek Lodge and Spa, you’ll be greeted with a sense of tranquillity and relaxation. The lodge is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, with the Sierra Nevada mountains serving as the backdrop for your stay.
The accommodations are designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and luxury. From their plush bedding to modern amenities, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
While conveniently located near Yosemite, we’ll get to that later, you are transported to an oasis in the wilderness as soon as you arrive at Rush Creek.
The Spa, aka My Favourite Part
One of the highlights of my visit to Rush Creek Lodge was the spa. They offer a wide range of treatments designed to soothe the mind, body, and soul. From massages and facials to body scrubs, the spa is the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate.
At this spa, they only use Eminence Organic Skin Care for all of their skin care treatments. Eminence products are high-quality and have been certified by the non-profit B Lab®.
During my visit, I created a bespoke aromatherapy roll. As shown above, they have a variety of different mixtures to choose from, or you can create your own.
After creating my own aromatherapy blend, I indulged in their many saunas and steam rooms. My only complaint is that I wish I had more time to spend here. I would have loved to spend some time lounging by the pool. It is the perfect spot to soak up the sun while taking in the stunning views.
In addition to the spa, Rush Creek Lodge also boasts a variety of other luxurious amenities, including a heated saltwater pool, a hot tub, and a fitness center. Whether you’re looking to relax or stay active during your stay, the lodge has something for everyone.
The Rooms at Rush Creek Lodge and Spa
The rooms are spacious and luxurious. Fitted with comfortable king-sized beds, a modern bathroom, and a balcony with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. They have a variety of different-sized cabins, ideal for couples or families.
The grounds are quite large so the staff will escort you to your room in one of their golf carts. You needn’t worry about lugging around your suitcase. They take care of everything for you.
Review of the dining at Rush Creek Lodge
I didn’t have a chance to dine at the lodge’s restaurant, but I wish I did! They offer a farm-to-table dining experience with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. That is right up my alley. And the bar area is stunning. It’s the perfect place for a post-hike beverage. After all, you’ll have earned it.
The dining experience at Rush Creek Lodge and Spa is not just about the food, however. The restaurant itself is a warm and inviting space, with a cozy fireplace and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Activities at Rush Creek Lodge
Whether you’re looking to relax or stay active during your stay at Rush Creek Lodge and Spa, there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained. A short 3-hour drive from the San Francisco Bay Area along scenic Highway 120 is the most direct route to Yosemite from the Bay Area, offering year-round access to the Park.
If you’re looking for a place to stay that is close to Yosemite National Park but without the crowds, Rush Creek Lodge is it!

Rush Creek Lodge is conveniently located half a mile from Yosemite National Park’s Highway 120 west entrance. This makes it an ideal starting point for your adventures into all parts of Yosemite.
